BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — Crews tore up a Boyle Heights street Monday morning to repair a broken water main.
Los Angeles Department of Water and Power crews had water service turned off to the area of North Cornwell and Marengo streets.
The water reportedly caused the asphalt to lift in several places along the street and flooded one parking lot.
LADWP did not give an estimate on when service would be returned to the area, or when the water line would be repaired.
